In the year of our Lord 1795 June the 16 In the name of God Amen I Ignatius Price of the State of Virgina & Berkley County Gentleman living sick but of good sound Mind and Memory, thanks be to god for the same but considering the unsertenty of the transetery life do makes publick and declair this my last Will and Testement in Manner and form as follows I give unto my beloved wife Ann Price my now dwelling plantesion and five Negroes and all my personelly Estate to personally during her natural life or widowhud and at her death or Marriage I give it in Manner and form as follows I give unto my beloved Brother Richard Price five Shillings and no more I Give to Levy Price butt and Ignetius Price butt my two beloved Sones my land before Mensitd to be equilly divided between the two brothers Levi to have the part Joygining Joseph lurners' land and Ignesttus the part Joinging Jehue herling including the Spring I give to Levi Price butt my Negroe Terry for seven years and then be free if its allowed he has behaved as a dutiful servant for that term of years I give to Ignatis Price butt one Negroe girl by the name of hannah. I give to Elisebeth Butt daughter of Mary Butt one Negroe girl Molly one feather bed one horse and saddel I give to Barbie Butt Sister to Elasebeth Butt one negroe girl by the name of Fanny one feather bead one hors and saddle I give to Walter Butt son of Fanny Butt, My negroe Isick and a fether bedd one horse worth fifteen pounds one Cow known by being a white Cow my Will is that Fanny Butt Shall have the Room the Log apartment to live in to reas her two Children while she lives single or has no Child and the feather Bead She now lies on and her youngest Child to have fifty pounds pens Currency when she cames of age and what property I have not mensoned here Above Name my desire is that it shall be equally divided amongest my above Mensoned Children and now now disposed of all my rall estate and property I recommend my Sole to God to him that gives it I Lave An Price my exeter whereunto I have set my hand and Seal? Probate
At a Court Continued and held for Berkely County the 28th day of July 1795 This last Will and Testament of Ignatius Price decd was proven by the oaths of Edward Divine and John Burnett two of the witnesses thereto and ordered to be recorded and on the Motion of Ann Price the executrix therein named who made an oath thereto according to law Certificate is granted her for obtaining a probate thereof in due form giving security where upon she with security entered into and acknowledged bond conditioned as the law directs.
