Welcome to the Profile Improvement Project (PIP) Biography Team - Level 3

Mission: To ensure that the most visited WikiTree profiles are well laid out, engaging, and genealogically accurate. As the Star and Global Family Reunion profiles often attract people who are not WikiTree members, we want them to be as complete as possible and to make a good impression.

For those who are not familiar with the Global Family Reunion "... (it) was held on June 6 [2015] at the New York Hall of Science in Queens, New York. Created and spearheaded by writer A.J. Jacobs, the event brought together 3,700 people with the message that we are all part of one big family. The Global Family Reunion raised $62,000 for Alzheimer’s research and care."

The task of this team, made up of Project members who have completed the Voyage, will be to create basic Voyage level biographies to at least a Level 3 using the criteria in the Profile Standards. The biographies for any nuclear family member of these profiles will also be built to the same level. The profiles can be found in the categories 5Star Profiles and Global Family Reunion Profiles as well as on the WikiTree+ report for non-Project Star Profiles.

Task List

• Choose a Global Family Reunion profile from the Global Family Reunion page.
  • These profiles will need to be completed to Level 3 of the PIP Profile Standards, as these profiles have a higher visibility to the public.
  • Once the profile is completed, you may move on to another.

• Choose a Star Profile from the Stars List page or from the WikiTree+ Star orphans and non-Project profiles. If you get an error message, click OK (sometimes caused by ad blockers). If you see a blank page, click the blue "Get Profiles" button in the left column to see the list.
  • These profiles will be completed to the Level 3 of the PIP Profile Standards, as they are the profiles that are most viewed by the public.
  • Once the profile is completed, you may move on to another.
