I'mow all meu by these presents that I Prudence Bailey of Chambers County, Ala widow of Jacob Bailey late of said county deceased. I being of sound mind and memory had thought proper to make, and I do hereby make this my last will and testament and in the manner following.

Now 1st I direct that all my just debts & funeral expenses be paid as soon as possible after my death and that a tomb be erected over my grave as soon as my executor hereafter to be appointed can do so.

2nd I give to Seaborn Bailey Senior and his wife Nancy and their sons Mack and Seaborn Bailey the quarter Section of land on which the houses I am now living in stands said lands are in section 22. Township 24. Range 25. and were willed to me by Jacob Bailey, my husband now deceased.

3rd I give to Alex Leverett his wife and children the 80 acres of land that was willed to me by Jacob Bailey which land doms the land on which I live and is in Section 22. Township 24. Range 25 and I give also to him the double barrell shot gun that was my husband

4th I give to Mrs Matilda Ann Vickers the high bedstead and bed clothing that stands in the big room of my house and the bureau & board and the cushioned arm chair that has rockers upon it.

5th I give Nancy Bailey wife of Seaborn a bedstead bed and bed clothing that is in the side room.

6th I give George Ann wife of Alex Leverett a bed beadstead & bedstead & bed clothes.

7th This is my will that all of the property willed by me shall be kept together by myself and my executor hereafter to be appointed for myself use and support as long as I live and that all the lands are to be deeded and oultediated and the rents paid to Mr. Greenley as my husband directed they should be in his will and I am to be supported and all my interest cared for in the same way as my husband Jacob Bailey directed and if the parties to whom I had willed said property to both real and personal shall render to me such aid and assistance as I may or will require of there which is to see that I am supported for from wants & neglect on attention in sickness & health. It is my will at my death that they shall be heard in possession of all the property willed to each of them by my executor hereafter to be appointed as soon as possible, and all the property of all kind that may be on hand at my death that is not disposed of by me shall be sold by my executor privately or publically and the money comeing from said sales to be used in paying debts and expenses in winding up my estate and my executor shall stash without making a bond.

8th I give to any person any debt by nate which at the time of my death they may be owing to me on the estate of my husband Jacob Bailey that was for me together with any amount of interest that may have acomed thereon.

9th and in consideration of the respect & friendship which I had for W. L. Hiflin and also for and in consideration of the many faithful services that W. L. Hiflin has rendered to me & to my late husband Jacob Bailey in years past in attending to our business & as recompense for the great cane & pains he may be at and put to in the faithful execution of this my last will and testament. I give and desire unto him the said W. L. Hiflin my executor hereafter to be appointed the last residue and remainder of all the real and personal property money goods & chattles that is in his hands or that may come into his hands or possession from my estate or the estate of Jacob Bailey. To have and to had to his own use & to his his forever and if aui effort is made to broke this my last will the lands willed by me to Seborn Bailey wife & children must be sold & the money applied to defend my will.

Lastly I nominate and appoint W. L. Hiflin of Lomma Randolph County Alabama Executor of this my last will and testament & I revoke all former wills made by me & I declare this my last will & testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this first day of June 1887.

In Probate Court
October 8th 1889

In the matter of the probate of the last will and testament of Prudence Bailey Deceased before me J. J. Robinson judge of the probate court in and for the county of Chambers & State of Alabama personally come O. J. Richards W. H. Warden & T. J Grady who having been by my duly sworn deposed & taken. That they are the subscribing witnesses to the last will and testament of Prudence Bailey dec'd now proposed for probate in the said county and each witness says he recognises the paper resented to him now as the paper which they were each called on to subscribe as witness by Prudence Bailey dec'd on the daythe same beons date to each June 1st 1887 and each of said witnesses that said Prudence Bailey who at the time resided in said county and state did deem execute and publish said document on the their names beons date and declare the same to be her last will and testament in the presence of said Prudence Bailey and in the presence of each other and the witnesses. O. J. Richards says he subscribed his name as a witness to said document in the presence of Prudence Bailey and the other subscribing witnesses and the witenesses W. H. Warden & T. J. Grady each say that they each subscribed their names to said document as witnesses by having tehir names written thereon directly under the name of the other subscribing witness and making their marks near the said names respecrtfully and each of said witnesses Grady and Warden say they could not write their own names and that they each thus subscrbed their names as itnesses to said document in the presense of each other and in the presence of said Prudence Bailey and the other subscribing witness Ricahrds and they that said Prudence Bailey & O. J. Richards each signed their names to said document in the presence and in the presense of each other and said witnesses Grady & Warden and

Richards say they each subscribed said document as witness is as the names of said Prudence Bailey and each other they on the time of the making said will said Prudence Bailey was of sound mind & diminishing memory & understanding and inthe opinion of each of said witnesses was capable of making her said will at the time the same was made and that said Prudence Bailey and each of subscribing witnesses were over twenty one years of age & resided in the county of Chambers & State of Alabama.
