Available Methods (Pick one):
Chrome
- Click URL on the page's ✂ID/Link/URL tool.
- Click ⋮ > New Incognito window at the top right of the Chrome window.
- Paste ( ctrl-v or command-v ) the copied URL into the address bar of the new Incognito window, and
press [enter].
OR
Firefox
- Click URL on the page's ✂ID/Link/URL tool.
- Click File > New Private Window in the Firefox menu bar.
- Paste ( ctrl-v or command-v ) the copied URL into the address bar of the new Private window, and
press [enter].

press [enter].
OR
Safari on iPhone or iPad
- Click URL on the page's ✂ID/Link/URL tool.
- Press and Hold the Tabs icon (stacked squares or small grid symbol)
- Select New Private Tab from the pop-up menu
- Paste the copied URL into the address bar of the new Private tab, and
press [go].
OR
Use a second completely different browser app
- Click URL on the page's ✂ID/Link/URL tool.
- Open a second, different browser app.
- e.g.
- If you are using Google Chrome as your normal browser, open a second session in Microsoft Edge.
- If you are using Safari as your primary browser, then open a second session in Firefox.
- etc.
- Paste ( ctrl-v or command-v ) the copied URL into the address bar of the new Private window, and
press [enter].
Notes
- If you edit the primary page, simply refresh the secondary Incognito / Private window version to see the updates.
- The second browser session must not be logged into WikiTree in order to see the public view of the page. You should stay logged into any regular tabs that you already have open.
- If you prefer to normally work in a Private / Incognito browser window, then you can use a regular window as the second window, as long as it is not logged into WikiTree
- The same methods can be used to see a non-Trusted view of the WikiTree page, by logging the second browser window into WikiTree as a different non-trusted account.
