The Passengers of the Purysburg

History

The individuals listed below made up the first out of fourTransport Ships of the "Salzburgers".

These settlers left Salzburg, Austria bound for Savannah and then the Wrightsborough Settlement in the Province of Georgia. It was a two month trip across the Atlantic Ocean to escape religious persecution in their native country of Salzburg, presently known as Austria.

Those listed below and also listed above went on 1st Transport. According to Vol 10 Appendix II in Detailed Reports on the Salzburger Emigrants Who Settled in America[1] the following families affiliated with the Riedelsperger name were:

  • Schweighoffer, Paul, b. 1692, dd. 1736.
    • Margaretha, nee Pindlinger, w., b. 1692, present 1752.
    • Maria, d., b. 1726, (married Christian Riedelsperger).
    • Thomas, s., b. 1729, dd. 1772. (See below where named Riedelsperger)
    • Ursula, d., b. 1732. (See below where named Riedelsperger)

Great eye! Admittedly, I just did a copy and paste.
