I just ran across a short couple of paragraphs on Samuel Huggart, a free African-American that established a settlement in Indiana while I was looking for Pioneer records. It says The Huggart Settlement was part of a community of anti-slavery Quakers who played an important role in the movement to abolish slavery. Have you heard of this?
