Biography

Quakertown Passenger and Freight Station [1] was designed by the Wilson Bros. & Company in 1889 and built by Cramp and Co. for the Philadelphia and Reading Railroad in 1902 for the Philadelphia and Reading Railroad Company [2] and served passengers for more than 80 years around 1974 the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority assumed operation of all remaining Reading Company passenger operations, including its tracks and stations. On May 5th 1989 the building was attacked by an arsonist [3]
