History
The Quay Plantation was located in Abbeville County, South Carolina. The home was built by the first owner, John Quay, about 1786. Quay sold the property to James Wardlaw about 1798.[1][2] James Wardlaw[3] lived there most of his life. His plantation grew cotton. This home is now known as The Quay-Wardlaw House.[4]
