RW Priest and Clara Priest Will Texas, U.S., Wills and Probate Records, 1833-1974

Transcription of Will[1] of Robert William Priest and Clarena Elizabeth (Warner) Priest naming all five of their children.

State of Texas, Hunt County. We, R.W. Priest Sr. and Clara W. Priest, respectively, husband and wife, and residing in said state and county, and being of lawful age and of sound and disposing mind, and memory, and being desirous to settle all our worldly affairs while we yet have the strength to do so, do make this, our LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT, hereby revoking all others that may have been heretofore made by us, or either of us.

Item 1st.
We do hereby give, bequeath demise and unto our youngest daughter, Margaret M. Priest, our home place, in the town of Greenville, in the said state of Texas, as well as any and all the real property we have, regardless of the location of same; together with all and singular the appurtenances to the same in anywise belonging or incident there to in fee simple, to do with what she shall choose. And also giving unto our said daughter, Margaret M. Priest, our piano, and our horse and buggy, for her own especial use and benefit.
Item 2nd.
We do give, bequeath and demise unto our two sons, W.A. Priest and R.W. Priest Jr. and our three daughters, Lula A. Jackson, and Julia Toombs and Margaret and all the personal property #### we have and own, save and except that portion thereof which we have mentioned under item first and given specially to our said daughter Margaret M. Priest; and it is our will that such personal property shall be divided evenly and equally between our five children who are mentioned in this item;.
Item 3rd.
We do hereby constitute and appoint our said daughter, Margaret M. Priest, sole executrix of this, our LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT, without bond for her due and legal performance of the same Witness our hands and seals, this the 7 day of 1896,

Signed, declared and published by R.W. Priest Sr. and his wife, Clara W. Priest, as their last will and testament, in the presence of us, the attesting witnesses, who have hereunto subscribed our names in the presence of said R.W. Priest Sr. and Clara W. Priest, at their special instance and request. Witness our hands, this the 7 day of November 1876.
