Location: Ashover, Derbyshire, England
Surnames/tags: crich dakeyne probate
This is to transcribe the will that could be Ralph Crich's, from Ashover, Derbyshire. Further research has shown that the will is likely of his grandson, Ralph, son of Adam Crich and Sibill, who died in 1691 according to a pedigree (link goes to a Free Space showing the pedigree), and is corrobrated by a FreeREG burial record cited below before this research:
This will says his mother is Sybill Crich (who may have died 1691 in Ashover)[1]. It also names his two brothers James and Adam, his uncle Thomas, Alice, and John Crich, and of the Dakeyne family: Arthur, Mary, Henry, Lucy, and Thomas. Signed are Arthur Dakeyne, Digby Dakeyne, Thomas Hongtack, John Rygot, and John Hongtack.
The will was torn on the last line where it says the year, so there are one or two words that cannot be read.
