History

Resthaven 1913.
  • c.1900 Resthaven Resort was Built by George Keeler. Lumber from Keelers saw mill.
  • 1909 Corner stone laid for new hotel.[1]
  • 1917 John Young and wife Rilla take over operations of the resort.
  • 1947 Alice & Phil Sharkey, Rilla and John's daughter
  • Radke family operated for a time as Northern Don's.
  • 1970s the resort was turned into apartments
  • 1990 Tom Keller owner at that time, arranged for the structure to be used by local firefighters as a training exercise. The old resort burned to the ground on October 14th, 1990[2]
