Rhode Island Project Members (alphabetical, thanks)

  • Anne B I have several ancestor lines that spent time in Rhode Island, pre-1700 and live about 15 minutes from the border.
  • T Counce - I have a few relatives from Rhode Island that I have been working on, including a Lt Governor.
  • Deb Durham I live in Newport and love the history. I have added a number of RI profiles and as a personal project made sure all the RI US Congressional Representatives were added to WikiTree.
  • Billie Keaffaber I working on Tree my step father couldn’t find when he was alive. He was adopted at 3 years old put in little wonders home. When he was alive all we had was parents names. This in his memory Researching.
  • Scott McClain - I have a few different sets of ancestors in 17th century Rhode Island, including a Project-protected scamp named Thomas Wallen who is a particular favorite.
  • Scott Michal My Ancestors include the Carr’s, Greene’s, Roger Williams, as well as many others involved in the early history of the state. My son and daughter-in-law are currently members of the Rhode Island Philharmonic, though they live in Massachusetts.
  • Lou Nickerson I'm descended from Lanpheres and Burdicks.
  • Angelina Pease I have several ancestor lines who moved from Rhode Island to New York State, including a group of 8 families who moved to the “Rhode Island Quarter” of Madison, Madison, New York.
  • David Randall I am particularly interested in the first settlers of Westerly, and have a freespace project covering the topic. I enjoy working on my own tree and also sprucing up the profiles of unrelated individuals who have been neglected.
  • Barry Smith - I descend from Samuel and Alice (Wood) Thurber and from Benjamin and Hope (Cole) Miller who all came to Warren around 1750 and from Thomas and Meribah Jones, ancestors of two Rhode Island governors and War of 1812 hero William Henry Allen. I also organize the 1774 Rhode Island Census Project
  • Ellen Smith - I have a few long-ago Rhode Island ancestors, plus some recent family in the state, so I occasionally dabble in Rhode Island genealogy.
  • T Stanton - Rhode Island Project Coordinator
