Here I am going to have a closer look at Richard Goldsworthy - which one?! Good question! There are several born around the same time, in parishes close by, and with a wife Elizabeth!
Richard Goldsworthy (occupation miner, of this parish) and Elizabeth Pooly (widow, of this parish) were married by Banns (published on three several Sundays) on 29 October 1798 in Crowan, Cornwall, England. Witnesses were Henry Odger (also witness to other marriages on the page of the register) and Peter Eustis.

So, what does this mean? And where to from here?
There are definitely 3 couples :
- Richard Goldsworthy and Elizabeth (formerly Pooly, nee Rodda) lived in Crowan.
- Richard Goldsworthy (bef.1785-1838) and Elizabeth (Treloar) Goldsworthy (1784-1845) also lived in Crowan.
- Richard Goldsworthy (abt.1784-1840) and Elizabeth (Unknown) Goldsworthy (abt.1782-1844) lived in Gwennap.
The last couple, whose children were all baptised on the same day, their eldest son was born c1819, still need to find a marriage for this Richard and Elizabeth.
Richard Goldsworthy and Elizabeth Treloar's marriage had a witness, Henry Goldsworthy, could that be his brother Henry Goldsworthy (1801-)? Note: Possibly their eldest son was also named Henry.
The visitor at the home of the Goldsworthy children in Little Trevince, Gwennap in 1851, Mary Goldsworthy, is there a relationship? Mary Goldsworthy of Little Trevince, died age 64 and was buried 15 April 1852 in Gwennap.
