History
Willimantic Maine had its first recorded settlement in 1826. By 1850 there were 15 families and 68 people. In 2010, there were 43 families and 150 people. Riverside Cemetery saw its first recorded burial of a one-year-old child in 1844. In the 1850s there were 7 burials, 21 in the 1860s, 11 in the 1870s, 18 in the 1800s and 34 in the 1890s. It is still an active cemetery.
