I would be very grateful for any help in finding the parents of Joseph Smith. Talk about a needle in a haystack! I am going to list all the information I have but if there ever was a genealogy bucket list then this is the main item for me.

I am searching for the parent's names of my great-grandfather Joseph Smith. He was born in Tennessee 1857. He had 3 Children, William David Smith born 23 Feb 1882, James R. Smith born May 1885 and Ida B. Smith 1887, all born in Tennessee. I found him in the 1900 Census in Meridian, Bosque, Texas with my great-grandmother Rachel Bromley, they must have just gotten married. Her Husband James Warren drowned in the Meridian River. she had several kids with James Warren, they are listed in the 1900 Census also. I am thinking Joseph Smith had a wife in Tennessee and they had 3 children. She died and he moved to Texas with his children and that's how he met my great grandmother Rachel. Joseph Smiths Father is listed as Joseph Smith on his Death Certificate, born in Tennessee and mother unknown
