The goal of this project is to ...Trace my Cherokee roots

Right now this project just has one member, me. I am Brian Sharp.

Here are some of the tasks that I think need to be done. I'll be working on them, and could use your help.

  • Fill in as many blanks as far back as I can. Father,g father,gg grand,Cousins,Uncles,Aunts,etc,etc..
  • Then individually research each one and fill in the details.
  • Not only am I interested in my Cherokee heritage I also want to preserve the info for future generations so they will know where and who they come from.

Will you join me? Please post a comment here on this page, in G2G using the project tag, or send me a private message. Thanks!

We are from Rogers family that came from Ludovic Grant and Cherokee woman from the 1600's. Ludovic Grant was sent to the colonies for rebellion and later lived last 30 years in the Cherokee Nation in British days. My dad's mom's mom's dad's family was the Rogers from the Cherokee line, and they came from North Georgia area I think and some went to Okahoma and maybe some in North Carolina but we were on the Chapman rolls and did not get into tribe when they kept doing last rolls, then we ended up in North Alabama but some of your ancestors Rogers could be in one of the Federal tribes as uncle's to our branch of Rogers, as our Rogers had family in Federal tribes. That some in Federal had family east of the Mississippi that did not counted in which is incomprehensible.
