Part of the Rodriques Name Study

The Rodriques family has been in Four Paths, Clarendon parish, for approximately one hundred years, perhaps more. I’ve traced four generations, beginning with Charles (1850-1916), and ending with me (early 1960s-present) to be born there.

Some questions this projects seeks to answer:

  • Where were these Rodriqueses prior to 1850?
  • How long were they in Four Paths before Charles’ birth?
  • How and when did they arrive in the parish, on the island?
  • Under what circumstances did they arrive?
  • Were they really descended from a rabbi as my Aunt Carmen said or were they slaves, slave masters or all of these?

Ah yes, I realized my mistake and tried to delete it but the system wouldn’t allow me to. I did manage to remove the uploaded photo (or so it seems from my end) from that page and attach it to the sub-category, Rodriques of Jamaica. Thanks, Margaret.
