History
This mausoleum is abdandoned, vandalized and likely needs to be torn down. I believe it's beyond repair. The mausoleum was built in 1926 and operated by Thomas Cullinan, and after he passed away, his daughters Helen and Katherine inherited it. There are about 500 people entombed within (investigation continues). After the death of the Cullinan sisters in 2000 and 2002, the building was placed in receivership and in January 2005 it was condemned as structurally unsound by the city of Cranston. While the city has tried to secure the building, vandals continue to enter and destroy those entombed here. The mausoleum, though it sits beside Oakland Cemetery, is not part of the cemetery.
7/18/2012: From: https://www.wpri.com/target-12/timeline-long-legal-battle-over-mausoleum-goes-nowhere/ The legal entity that owned the mausoleum, Roger Williams Park Mausoleum Inc., is officially dissolved, and all remaining books & records are ordered destroyed.
Notable Interments
This section is optional. Are there any notable interments located at the cemetery? War heroes? Political figures? Even local historical figures count in this area (location namesakes, etc.). This section should contain no more than 5-6 profile links. If you need more room, why not start a new Free-space page for the notable interments and just provide a general description of the types of notables one may find buried here?
More Information
This should be a bulleted list of links/resources for the cemetery itself, such as the cemetery category where profiles are attached, the cemetery's website (if available), a link to the FindAGrave cemetery page, a Wikipedia entry for the cemetery?
