In the name of god amen I Richard Rotheram of Mosbrough in the p'ish of Eckington in the county of Derby husbandman being but crasie and something weakened in body through infirmities, and being minded to set my house in order before I die do make this my last will and testament in manner and forme following

first and prinicipally I commend my soule into the hands of almighty god my maker hopeing through the meritts of Jesus Christ my onely saviour & redeemer to receive free pardon of all my sins and I commit my body to the earth to be decently buried at the discretion of my executors hereafter named, and for my worldly goods I dispose of them as followeth.

(Crossed out: I give and bequeath unto my daughter Mary Rotheram the sum of five pounds)

All the rest of my goods cattels and chattells and household stuffe and leases and whatsoever else I give and bequeath unto my loveing wife Isabell Rotheram and my eldest son Thomas Rotheram whom I make joynt executors of this my last will & testament dureing the natural life of my sd wife Isabell Rotheram and then at her decease to let her part of the executorship to come unto my son William Rotheram and my daughter Anne Rotheram whom I do will shall be joyned with my son Thomas Rotheram in place of his mother aforenamed, and I do utterly revoke and make void all other wills and testaments by me formerly made and do make this my last will and testament In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seale the eight day of December in the third year of the raigne of our soveraigne lady Anne by the grace of god over England Scotland France and Ireland queen defendor of the faith &c anno domini 1704

I joyne my daughter Mary Rotheram with my son William Rotheram & my daughter Anne Rotheram at the decease of my wife aforenamed and I have caused the two lines to be erased and with my consent & will that she the said Mary my daughter may have the part with the rest.
