Office of the President

• President of Russia (Президент России) - The President is elected by the citizens of the Russian Federation, for a term of six years.^[1]. The current President is Влади́мир Влади́мирович Пу́тин (Vladimir Putin).
• Presidential Executive Office (Администрации Президента) - A state body who provides support for the President’s work and monitors implementation of Presidential decisions.^[1]
• Council of State (Государственный совет) - An advisory body; assists the office of head of state with coordination between the different bodies of state power. ^[1]
• Security Council (Совет Безопасности) - Handles state and public security, as well as military and international security.^[1]
• Constitution of the Russian Federation (Конституция Российской Федерации) - The governing document ^[2]

Political Parties

"Russia has a multi-party system. Currently (2016) there are four parties that make up the federal parliament (the State Duma) with one dominant party (United Russia)." ^[3] "In Russian politics, a "party of power" is a specially established party which unconditionally supports the current president or prime minister in the parliament." ^[3] The current party of power is United Russia, supporting President Putin.
