Looking for information for William S Ryan born 1833 in Canada West and died 1898 in Newstead NY.
He came to NY from Canada between around 1846 and 1853. He married Elizabeth j Bissell probably in 1853, as their first child, Charles Lorenzo was born in 1854 probably in Sawyer Creek, Erie County NY.
They had several children and lived most of thier lives in Orleans and Monroe Counties NY.
Elizabeth died in 1892 of pneumonia.
He remarried soon after the death of Elizabeth and moved to Newstead, Erie NY where he died in 1898 and was brought back to Orleans County NY to be buried in Greenwood Cemetery, Kendall Orleans County NY. there is no record of his burial, only a cemetery stone.
I cannot find any information on him before 1853 except that he was born in Canada West in 1833 to Charles and Either Elizabeth or Barbara.
He has been my brick wall for 20 years.
