Information: The Sacred Heart Cemetery was established in 1873 by German Catholic immigrants who travelled down from Cincinnati, Ohio, in promise of large amounts of cheap farmland for sale. It is located in the cemetery district of Loretto, next to the Loretto Memorial Gardens and across from the Loretto Cemetery. It has a small paved road through the center of the cemetery, allowing easy access for visitors.

In 1995, the cemetery was placed on the National Register of Historic Places by the United States Department of the Interior. As of December 24, 2020, the cemetery had around 866 graves, many unmarked. The cemetery is still in use.
