The barque Samuel Boddington, 523 tons, Captain John M. Hurst, from London 27th September / Plymouth 8th October 1848, arrived at Port Adelaide, South Australia 12th January 1849.
The 2nd ship from England to South Australia with Government passengers for 1849. 12 passengers in the cabin, and 241 government emigrants in the steerage. Surgeon-superintendent James Phillips recorded two births and eight deaths on the passage.
