This is the page for the Sandringham Strollers, one of the English Project teams that take part in the Source-a-Thon, Clean-a-Thon and other challenges throughout the year. It is for those who wish to take their time, focusing on quality over quantity, and is a very relaxed group.

We are also a great team for people who are just starting out on data doctoring or sourcing. We can find you some easier tasks to work on at your own pace.

The next challenge coming up is the Clean-a-Thon at end of April 2020. See below for more information.

Team Communication

Sandringham Strollers have a chat post on the G2G for each challenge, where we update progress, encourage each other and answer any questions, link is at the top right of the page

We also have a chat space on Discord, which we can use leading up to, and during challenges, and any other time we want! Contact Gillian Thomas for help in getting set up on Discord.

Next Thon Challenge

2020 Connect-a-Thon will take place from July 17-20. We look forward to you joining us then!

I am sorry but not sure what discord is I have a new computer which is taking some time to get used to

Do I just go to the England unsourced profiles as haven't done a clean a thon before Thank you

posted by Anon (Cormack) Sharkey

Discord is a channel used as a live chat feed Gillian is looking at sending out invites to those not already on Discord you do not have to accept this if you do not wish to just drop a note on the Sandringham chat in the G2G.

The Clean a thon is more about the suggestions than the unsourced that Source-A-Thon event is later in the year. For the English suggestion lists see the on there you will see the full England suggestion list and there is a county by county table which you can pick a county to work on if you wish, just click on the county name. Which counties others are working on are shown on the team list above on this page.

While suggestion are fixed by Data Doctors during this event anyone works on them. Before the event take a look at the

Hope this helps Janet

Hi Janet and everyone, I'm just letting you know that I have life pressures crowding in on me from all sides at the moment (mother's health and bushfires in particular) so will be limited in what I am able to do for the Scan-a-Thon. I'll do what I can! So sorry.
posted by Gillian Thomas
Hi Gillian,

Our thoughts have been with you about the bush fires, staying safe is what matters, we will all do what we can I think a few of us a scavenging for more to add this year.

Take care Janet

Usually I prepare a month ahead of time for thons, but with the death of my mother in December, I've been unable to get my materials together like I should. I will probably be adding a lot fewer photos than last year, but I do have some in the hopper. Just so y'all know. Thanks!

Hi Pip, please just do what you have time for and want to do. We are really glad to have you on the team, but have no expectations. Gillian
