Source: Obituary published in the Houston Herald (Houston, Texas County, Missouri), on 17 Apr 1902 (transcribed by Dale Mutter)[1]:

Obituary. Mrs. Sarah A. Morgan, wife of Maynard Morgan, was born on April 2, 1842, in Madison county, Kentucky. She united with the Christian church at the age of twelve years and lived an exemplary christian life the remainder of her days on earth. She was united in marriage with Maynard Morgan in 1861 and with her husband she put her membership with the Baptist church at an early date after marriage. There were born to this union 9 children; four are dead, five living, one of which - a daughter - still resides at the old home in Kentucky. Sister Morgan, with her husband and family, came to Texas county, Missouri, in 1885, and departed this life April 5th, 1902. Her remains were laid to rest at the family cemetery April 7 in the presence of a large circle of sympathizing friends and relatives, the funeral exercises being conducted by J. W. Dickinson, in his usual sympathetic manner, dwelling to some extent upon the lesson on the great Resurrection as given by the Apostles to the Corinthians. The bereaved ones have the heartfelt sympathy of all. Then let us fly to Jesus, fly, Whose powerful arm can save, Then shall our hopes ascend on high, And triumph o'er the grave. A Friend.
