Saturday Sourcing Sprints are weekly, one-day challenges for adding sources to unsourced profiles already present on WikiTree. They're fun and casual mini-versions of our annual Source-a-Thon, complete with stickers or badges for registered winners.

Reporting consists of 4 primary tasks:

1. Add Weekly Invitation post to G2G by 9 AM EST (or 2 PM WikiTree Time, UTC)
   • Subject Heading should be in the following format "Saturday Sourcing Sprint (dd Month YYYY)" where the "dd Month YYYY" is replaced with the actual day of the Sprint.
   • Category selected should be "TreeHouse."
   • Add the following tags under Surnames/Tags: sourcing_sprints challenges unsourced_profiles sources sourcerers
   • Copy the Saturday Sourcing Sprints- G2G Post template into the question text box
   • Once you see the template text in the text box, place cursor immediately after the greeting of "Hello WikiTreers."
   • Click on the "add image" icon (It looks like a box with a dot in the upper left corner and mountains).
   • Paste the following in the URL field: http:// www.wikitree.com/photo.php/7/79/Social_Media_Collection-19.png (remove the space between "//" and "www")
   • Change the "Alignment" to "Right" and click OK and then click Save Changes. This will Post to G2G.
   • IMPORTANT once you see your post, you must make a note of the post NUMBER! This can be found by looking at the URL in the address bar after the /g2g/ but before/saturday-sourcing-sprint-<date>
2. Adding new link on the Calendar Saturday Sourcing Sprints page to the Tracker.
   • Click Edit,
   • Paste the following: <Calendar Event|display=|name=Saturday Sourcing Sprint|page=Help:Saturday_Sourcing_Sprints|tracking= All|length=2 days|start=YYYY-MM-DD 12:00:00|g2g= #######|fsp=|hints=> after the 2024 Heading, replacing the carat "<>" with "{{}}"
   • Replace the start= date with date of current date (this will be whatever the date is on the Friday in YYYY-MM-DD and replace the ####### after g2g= with whatever the post number was.
3. Monitoring the G2G post and responding to any posts or questions.
4. Update the Saturday Sprint Stats based on the Tracker report and award the top Sprint Sourcerer sticker.
