Savoie Family in Saint-Maurice, New Brunswick

The goal of this project is to gather as much information as we can about the Savoie families who lived/live in Saint-Maurice.

Join me if you are interested in contributing to this project. Thank you! I am Raymonde Savoie.

Here are some of the tasks that I think need to be done. I'll be working on them, and could use your help.

  • The first houses to be built in Saint-Maurice, NB.
  • The first families/individuals to move there, where they come from.
  • The first Savoie families/individuals to live in Saint-Maurice, NB.
  • Any other information on the founding days of this village.

Will you join me? Please post a comment here on this page, in G2G using the project tag, or send me a private message. Thanks!

I started working on the Savoie-Saint-Maurice connection with my brother Fernand in the 70's. He passed away in 2018, so now I have his research and notes. I'm compiling all the pertinent information on my Savoie family, from Belleisle until now, to make it into a book. I hope Fernand would be proud.

Would you consider opening this project up to Acadian Savoie's who immigrated to Louisiana in the mid to late 1700's? Profiles to consider: the descendants of Francois Savoie or Charles Savoie for example. I'm currently working on a few (too many at once) of their profiles because they are connected to the Toups family - four generations from Francois Savoie.

Hi Shae ~

I've let life distract me from any work I had been doing here on WikiTree. But I'm back. I don't really know how it works, but I'm willing to pool our resources for the Savoie Family research project, whatever part of the world in which you reside.
