Does anyone have a Clan MacIain (Clan Donald of Ardnamurchan) project on the go? Is there a badge? I would love to assist with it.
Hi Marissa

Thank you for your interest in Clan Donald. If you haven't done so already, please consider joining the Scotland Project. https://www.wikitree.com/g2g/1242956/have-scottish-ancestors-interest-scotland-scotland-project

Hello! I'm trying to research if I am related to Clan Shaw. I have gotten as far as Private Gilbert Shaw 1757-1842 and Mary Margeret "Polly" Davidson 1771-1846. Going up the male line I have his father as Daniel Shaw, grandfather, Samuel Shaw, John Shaw III, John Shaw II, John Shaw I, A missing male, Richard Shaw, and then William Shaw born in 1522. If anyone has any research on these Shaw men, I would love to chat. my email is [email address removed]

Hi Nichole!

I would recommend posting to g2g to get more answers from researchers. I will attempt to move this over to g2g and we'll see if anybody bites ; )

Hi Sarah: I would like to research the MacKenzie's of Angus County, Scotland (where my ancestry apparently hails from). Like Ellen, I'm wondering if you can guide us how to begin our research? Also, I suck at editing Wiki pages. Are there tutorials one can follow?

Hi Alan,

If you want, you can be assigned a buddy. I would recommend exploring the "Help" pages to learn more about editing. Here is a page on some basics to get you started: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:Editing_Tips. Once we get this transition ironed out, I think we will see more collaboration on the teams happening. I see on the Clans table, that Mark is the leader for the MacKenzie team. I would get ahold of him, he might have some research guidance for you. -Sarah

I definitely think I need a "Genie buddy" to assist -- at least in the early dayz, Sarah! Thanks for letting me know it is even possible to have one...

The wikitree editing reference was helpful. And I can't even begin to find the words to express how stoked I am that Mark is leading the MacKenzie Team. My brief connections with him have been incredible! Thanks again, Sarah! Alan

Ha, I didn't look since you asked me here. Hamilton is on the Clan page, see you there!
