Scots genealogist David Dobson has published a large set of small volumes under the title 'Scots-Irish links.' Each volume contains lists of people with connections between Scotland and Ireland with a few details of the nature of their connection and the source from which the information was derived. Much of the information comes from Scottish sources, making a very useful addition for Irish genealogists who may not be familiar with or have access to them.

The early volumes are particularly useful in documenting Scots involvement in the plantation of Ulster and Scottish Covenanters' involvement in the wars of the three kingdoms. Many volumes also have useful information on more mundane subjects like Irish graduates of Scottish universities.

Originally published in three series, Scots-Irish links 1575-1725, Later Scots-Irish links 1725-1825 and Scots-Irish links 1825-1900, the whole is now available as a consolidated edition in two volumes (cost $165).

Some of the original volumes are available to view or borrow on line and three are also available (with subscription) on Ancestry.com. They are listed below.
