BOY SCOUTS. Tue 4 Apr 1911 [1]
Last Saturday Troops 29 (Ocean Beach) and 30 (Cottesloe) held a combined meeting at Mosman's Bay, under ; S.M.'s Hollamby and McKenzie and Deputy S.M. Waterhouse. Some excellent inter-troop swimming races took place, which were won by representatives from Troop 29.
A prize was offered by the 29th Troop for the best example of life-saving by scouts of the 30th Troop, and was well won by Scout Smith, who brought Scout Harburn to the jetty in the approved method of the Life Saving Society.
The 29th Troop on shore afterwards went through life-saving, ambulance, and skirmishing drill, concluding with songs and recitations round the camp fire.
