Families

Figuring out the families, particularly those who stayed in Segelsberga. Not including children who died young.

  • Lars Andersson - was in the taxation records for Segelsberga up to 1652
  • The name of his wife was Carin. All of his children seem to be born before birth records start in November 1626:
    • Carin Larsdotter married in 1638 and moved to Råby, then in 1643 to Åstad where they remained. Carin was still alive in 1675 but the famly is not in Åstad in 1688.
    • Lars Larsson married in 1640, and succeded his father as head of household in 1653. He was unlucky with his wives, two of them died in childbirth. In 1654 he married a third time, to a widow in Kullingeby. Lars moved in with her.
    • Mårten Larsson married in 1644 and moved to Råby, where his wife came from. In 1655, when brother Lars moved out, Mårten and his wife moved back to Segelsberga. Mårten Larsson was still in Segelsberga Södergård in 1688. He died in 1692 at a stated age of 78 years (this makes him born about 1614).
    • Mats Larsson
    • Anders Larsson
    • Nils Larsson aka Nicolaus Laurentij married in 1657, dead in Segelsberga 1687 at an age of 60 years (and so born about 1627).
  • Erik Nilsson had most of his children with his first wife
  • Brita, who was probably a Larsdotter born in Segelsberga Norrgård. She died in 1636. Their children were:
    • Joen Ersson, born 1629, married in 1653, replaced his father in the taxation record for Segelsberga in 1660. His wife is shown as a widow in the taxation record for 1676.
    • Brita Ersdotter, who married in 1646 and lived in Hvastena in 1653
    • Kirstin Ersdotter, who married in 1646 and moved to Råby about 1654. Kirstin died in Råby in 1692 an age of 70 years (which makes her born in 1622).
    • Ingeborgh Eriksdotter, born 1632, married in 1656 and moved to Hwastena
  • Hustru Brita died in the beginning of 1636 and Erik Nilsson married the widow Brita Jonsdotter from Söderby in October. They had one child together:
    • Marina Ersdotter born in 1637, married in 1656 and moved to Långtäby. She died in 1697 at a stated age of 67 years (which would make her born in 1630).
  • Brita Jonsdotter brought three stepchildren to the household:
    • Mårten Nilsson, married his stepsister Brita Ersdotter in 1646. They lived in Hwastena
    • Ingemar Nilsson, married his stepsister Kerstin Ersdotter in 1646 and moved to Råby about 1654.
    • Ingrid Nilsdotter, married in 1644 and moved to Eckna
  • Erik married a third time in 1666, with Karin Andersdotter from Nor in Söderbärke, twice a widow. They had no children, but Karin brought two stepdaughters with her:
    • Barbro Bengtsdotter, married in 1671 and moved to Stentorp, died in 1708, at a stated age of 58 years (which makes her born about 1650)
    • Anna Bengtsdotter, married in 1675 and moved to Örberga, died 1718 at an age of 66 years (which makes her born about 1652).

The order between the two farms in the tithe records is not consistent. It has been re-ordered here.

Questions

Whose widow was Margareta Mattsdotter in Segelsberga, who married Jon Olofsson from Bro Qvarn in Köping 8 November 1665? Could be the widow in Långtäby who died 5 Jan 1723
