Semlowerstrasse

Semlowerstrasse is a street in Stralsund named after the family.[1] At one end of the street, towards the sea, was Semlower Tor, one of the city gates. It was first opened in 1277 and was 13.30 meters wide, 17 meders deep and 22.65 meters high. It was the highest of the Stralsund city gates. The gate was damaged during World War II but a part of the gate can still be seen as part of the more modern buildings standing in its place.[2]
