In response to this Reddit Comment;" My grandmother believed that an ancestor was a founding father (Benjamin Harrison). I have finally started researching our genealogy to try to verify if she was correct, but I hit a brick wall. I have only been able to go as far back as her great grandfather (Benjamin R. Harrison). I cannot find records of his parents. Ancestry and FindAGrave suggest a couple named James Mason Harrison and Celia Gunnells are his parents, but I don’t see documentation supporting that. The clues I have are that Benjamin Harrison lived 1810-1857. He lived in Tennessee and Missouri, and possibly died in Kentucky."

I found his profile: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Harrison-7994, which led me to his grandfather https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Harrison-7048, who has a descendant who applied for a SSAR membership, which cites that he is a descendant of https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Harrison-831 through the Governor's granddaughter Winifred Harrison Reader, daughter of John Harrison, who is horribly conflated (see his wife; https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Daniel-339). At the present the pedigree seems spurious.
