  • Eleanor Lindsley 1800 (1)

Eleazer and Mary Lindley arrived In Township 1,Range 2 in the County of Ontario (later called Lindley, Steuben County) in the spring of 1790 with 36 other people, including their children and six enslaved people. After Eleazer died in 1794, Mary married John Taylor; it's likely some of the 5 enslaved people in his 1800 census record are the same as the six in the 1790 census. Ezekiel Mulford married a daughter of Eleazor and Mary Lindley; the enslaved person in his household may be related to the ones in his father-in-law's household.
