"We Isham L. Sellers, George W. Sellers and Luke M. Sellers Heirs of Rebecca Sellers dec’d and also Edward R. Kercheval consent of Eliza A. Kercheval who is also an heir agree that Milton Young, Thomas Waller & S. D. Delany be Commissioners to divide the negroes belonging to the estate of the said Rebecca Sellers deceased into four equal shares as really as can be done and designate the portion allotted by them to each heir—We also agree that Celia, the mother or Grandmother of all the said negroes be not taken into the division, but that she remain as joint property to be provided for and supported by us in her old age…”[6]
