Duncan Cameron may have purchased them as this receipt is in his family papers, image 34.[1] They were then sold to Colin Auld 14 Feb 1786.
In 1810 Duncan Cameron purchased of William Ray a slave named Jim.[2]

In 1834, Cameron was elected president of the state's Colonization Society;[14][15] the society offered some slaves their freedom and paid for their voyage to Liberia, from which some voluntarily returned to slavery. Promising Fairntosh slaves were given an education.
