Will of Sarah Gray

Abraham was named exector in the will of his mother, Sarah Gray, signed June 14, 1834. The will was proved September 15, 1837 in Fayette County, Georgia. Abraham was gifted the following slaves:

• Judy, a girl
• Winney, a girl
• Misa, a girl

In his will Abram divided his estate between his children. At the time of his death in 1856 the estates was inventoried and sold in order to carry out that wish. The table below contains the names of the slaves belonging to Abram and their new owners. In his will Abram makes his son Benjamin trustee for his daughter Nancy Sansom. This is mostlikely the B. Grey & Nancy Sansom seen here.
