Research Notes
- Two enslaved people, Elick and Henry, are named in Ann's estate inventory but are not listed in her estate division.
- Because Ann's 1840 estate division lists two enslaved people named Jack, with no additional information, I have been unable to determine which one is the Jack listed on the 1827 estate inventory of Ann's husband James Webb.[8] [9] A possible explanation is that the writer meant to write "Elick" and wrote Jack a second time by mistake.
