1860 census Annah was in Bowie, Texas,Slaves: 21. There is a note on the slave schedule,
these slaves are held in trust for Anna and her brother William Caro Epperson by William J Hayes)
as they are minors.[1]

  • Anna's father died before her mother Francis but yet a few years apart. Tried looking for a will, but could not find one. In most cases the slaves and the other properties would have been inherited first to the wife and after the wife passed to the children.
