Biography

Benjamin was born in Georgia and married Sarah Demotts there in Camden, Georgia in the St. Mary District. They lived on the farm that consists of about 300 acres, according to the tax record. In 1850 Benjamin had 5 slaves. He died in 1855 and was buried on his farm in family cemetery. Sarah became the admin of his will and inherited the property and the slaves. In 1860 there were 8 slaves. By the birth dates it looks like they may be of one family.
