My 2nd Great Grandfather, Corbin Braxton (b.1803) and his wife Amy Cobb Braxton (b.1812) as well as my 3rd Great Grandfather Robbin Braxton (b. circa 1780 and his wife Judy Tibbs Braxton, b. circa 1780) could all have been held by Corbin Braxton. Since the King William Court House burned twice, paper court records of the era are non-existent. Names, family history, and census and cohabitation records place all four of my ancestors in proximity to Corbin Braxton inKing William County, Virginia. My lineage to Robbin Braxton was proved as part of my admission into the Sons & Daughters of the United States Middle Passage Lineage Society. DNA connects me to a direct descendant of Carter Braxton, Sr. We share a most recent common ancestor at 7.5 generations ago.
