Background
Daniel Bath lived in Georgetown County South Carolina. His property was called the Mill Creek property. Daniel died in the 1850's, the exact date is not known. He did write a will dated 1852.[1]

The enslaved given to/left with wife Ann were not listed in the will.
Daniel Bath died before 1860. His will was written 18 Jul 1852. It is unknown when the will was proven. The will was recorded 3 Jul 1879.[2]
1850
The 1850 slave schedule numbers the enslaved owned by him at that time.[3] He also named the enslaved he was to bequeath to his family in his will.
1860
Wife, Ann Bath, was listed on the 1860 slave schedule owning 18 enslaved persons.[4]
Labor Contract
After the Civil War Daniel's son Thomas Bath signed a labor contract, as executor of his father's property, with the Freedmen who wished to work on his father's plantation.[5]
