Schedule Division of Slaves in the Will of Dr James Troup, 14 April 1856, Glynn County, Georgia, Bequeathed to Dr Daniel Heyward Brailsford Troup
- It is assumed these slaves mentioned in the will were from the Broadfield Plantation, later known as Hofwyl-Broadfield, which was Dr Troup's home place in Glynn County, Georgia.[1]
- It is believed that the number beside some names designates a division of family groups. For example. Silas has a 6 so his family group includes London to him, six people. The next family has six members also and stops on Elsy, and so on.
- Slaves listed on schedule No 2 were inherited by Dr Troup.
- Total assessed value was $22,550:[2]
