Schedule Division of Slaves in the Will of Dr James Troup, 14 April 1856, Glynn County, Georgia

It is assumed these slaves mentioned in the will were from the Broadfield Plantation, later known as Hofwyl-Broadfield, which was Dr Troup's home place in Glynn County, Georgia.[7]
It is believed that the number beside some names designates a division of family groups. For example. Pender has a 6 so his family group includes Moses to him, six people. The next family has five members and stops on Belinda. And so on.
Slaves on Schedule No. 1 were inherited by Robert Troup.
Total value assessed was $22,125:[8]
