“It is is my and desire that my darling and beloved wife Elizabeth Kolb Gates paternal mother of my beloved sons shall inherit all my property both real and personal as there is no necessity of sale of perishable property in such case as all is useful, Consisting of my land in the Seventh (?) of said county certain in of seven hundred and seventy six acres more or less, Known of lot number sixty-eight and sixteen acres more or less off lot number sixty joining by the numbers (sixty-one) and sixty-two, with reservation of one more off the same."

“All my Negros twenty eight in number I will and bequeath to my beloved wife as foresaid ,names of slaves, Household, stock for her natural life.”
