1840 Census
The 1840 census showed 9 white household members, and no slaves.[3] This doesn't really fit with the 1830 then the 1850 census. I have tried to see if the census taker was off by one line, but the household on line 4 (Fielding was on line 5), had a number of slaves, and unfortunately I couldn't find him in the in 1830 or 1850 censuses. On this census 1840 page, the remainder of the people on the page (lines 6-31) there had no slaves. Perhaps the census taker just stopped recording after line 4.
