Freedom
Isaac Ball's will reads: "It is my will that my Mulatto slave named Natt, now an apprenticed to Mr James Poyas should receive the sum of $100 when arrives at the age of 21 years and be persuaded to quit this Country to enjoy his freedom as it is my will that he should remain no longer a Slave and I hope my Executors herein after named will carry into execution this my will and desire in regards my said servant Natt."[1]
