This page's purpose is to record the enslaved people owned by Isabel McDonald Adams, and attempt to connect them to their families.

Isabel inherited slaves from two estates in 1854 upon the death of her father, Gillis McDonald, and Hannah McGillis, whose exact family relationship is unknown. The manner in which the slaves were left meant that the slaves from Hannah were transferred into her husband's name, while the ones from her father were directly hers.
