Jacob Rawls will in 1852 specifically deeded one child, a six-year-old boy named Tobey with a "yellow complexion" to his son Thomas. The other slaves were inventoried and then sold. There are only 20 slaves on the inventory, but 22 listed on the sale. Frank and Paul do not show up on the inventory.
