Research Notes
Jeremiah Johnson came to the Florida Territory from Florida with his family and slaves in about 1827. He died in about 1834. Probate documents are needed to identify any slaves inherited by his wife and children. His wife and daughter's families moved from the area where the family had settled to Silver Lake closer to Monticello. More information on Silver Lake Plantation is being researched and will be attached to his wife, children, and sons-in-law, John A. Cuthbert and Wilkins Cook Smith.
